Manic Street Preachers are a Welsh alternative rock trio formed in 1988, known for blending political punk, hard rock, and stadium-sized anthems. Initially gaining attention for their rebellious image and outspoken political views, the band achieved major success with albums such as The Holy Bible, Everything Must Go, and This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours. Following the mysterious disappearance of lyricist Richey Edwards in 1995, the remaining members continued as a trio, producing several critically acclaimed albums. With a career spanning over three decades, the band remains influential in British rock. In autumn 2026, they will reunite with Suede for a major co-headline UK arena tour, including performances in Manchester, London, and Cardiff.
